Volkswagen pays tribute to Type 2 Kombi with an emotional video
Volkswagen Kombi Last Edition rolled off the production line in Brazil last year, where it had been in production for 56 years, marking the end of Type 2 Microbus, also known just as the Bus, Camper Van, Bus T1 and MicroBus.
From September 1957 to September 2013, over 1,560,000 units were produced in the São Bernardo do Campo plant.
The Type 2 was created by Dutchman Ben Pon in the 1940’s. The production started in 1949 and it was produced for 63 years in different forms. Longer than almost any other model, except the iconic VW Beetle.
Volkswagen Brazil has now released a beautiful tribute video, showing people who went through special moments with a Type 2.
BRAVO Kombi, BRAVO!!
