Volkswagen announces Groove up! and Rock up!

Volkswagen has announced two new special edition Groove up! and Rock up! models that are both based on the top-specification High up! model.
The Groove up! is available both as a three-door or a five-door model and comes with a pumping Fender sound system with six speakers, a subwoofer and a 300-Watt amplifier. Other highlights include Maps & More personal infotainment device, which along with touchscreen satellite navigation provides Bluetooth phone connectivity and music streaming.
Visual updates include leather-trimmed steering wheel, gear lever and handbrake with orange stitching, bespoke black seats with orange edging, dark-tinted glass from the B-pillar back, gloss-black door mirro caps and 16-inch ‘Upsilon’ alloy wheels.
The Rock up! theme is also all about the music and available only as a three-door model, featuring an anthracite stripe running the length of the bonnet, roof and tailgate and a full body kit, consisting of gloss black front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler. Just as on the Groove up!, it rides on 16-inch ‘Upsilon’ alloys, the door mirror caps are gloss black or chrome in case the vehicle is ordered with Deep Black Pearl paintwork.
Both the Groove up! and Rock up! come with a three-cylinder 75bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine linked to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Groove up! is priced from £11,640 and the Rock up! costs £12,980.
