Vauxhall Cascada Revealed – First Pictures & Details

Vauxhall has released first pictures and details of the new mid-size convertible called the Cascada, which in Spanish means a “waterfall”.

The Cascada measures 4697mm in length and 1840mm in width. Vauxhall likes to point out that the Cascada is longer than an Audi A5 Cabriolet, though forgets to add the A5 Cabriolet has a bigger boot with the roof down.

The soft-top can be operated at speeds up to 31mph and it opens in 17 seconds.

Various wheel sizes are offered from 18 to 20 inches. The soft top can be picked from one of the three colours, while the body is available in ten different finishes.

From launch, engine choices include a new 168bhp 1.6-litre SIDI EcoTEC turbocharged petrol unit, a 138bhp 1.4-litre petrol and a 163bhp 2.0-litre diesel. More powerful engines will follow later in the future.

Prices will be revealed in the near future.
