US biodiesel production hits high in October says EIA

U.S. biodiesel production hit a record high in October, according to the Energy Information Administration. New EIA figures show 132 million gallons of biodiesel was produced in October, up from around 127 million gallons in September.
About 67 percent of the 132 million gallons, or nearly 88.5 million gallons, produced in October came from the Midwest.
Producer sales of B100 accounted for 92 million gallons of October’s production, while blends such as B99 accounted for about 41 million gallons.
A total of 1,009 million pounds of feedstock was used to produce the October biodiesel totals, including 551 million pounds of soybean oil, still the largest single raw material for U.S. biodiesel production.
