tesla’s Need For Graphite
Back in March of this year Bloomberg ran a story about Tesla and their need for massive amounts of Graphite when they open the new Tesla Gigafactory for EV type batteries. It also talked about China and their pollution problems. You can read the story through the link.
The story discusses how graphite is a vital component of Tesla’s Model S batteries, but most graphite is currently produced in China – and Chinese authorities are closing dozens of graphite mines/processors in a bid for cleaner air even as global demand for graphite is surging.
This could easily eliminate 1/3 of the world’s graphite production when Tesla is getting ready to begin building their new $5 billion Gigafactory that’s expected to alone produce more lithium ion batteries annually by 2020, than were produced worldwide in 2013.
Tesla’s Gigafactory is expected to immediately DOUBLE global graphite demand, which means at least six new graphite mines will need to come into production.
According to a promotional piece from National Inflation Association (NIA), the stocks of North American based graphite producers could soon explode by 1,000% or more.
NIA points out the top TSX Venture percentage gainers yesterday and suggests investors / traders look at the stock that is by far trading the most heavy volume, its Northern Graphite Corp (TSXV: NGC).
They continue, after gaining 15% to $0.94 per share Wednesday on very strong volume of 630,300 shares, NGC gained another 34% on Thursday morning to reach a new 52-week high of $1.28 per share on enormous volume of 2,078,053 shares, which is 35X its average daily volume. NGC has gained 56% over just the last 48 hours!
With NGC exploding, other graphite stocks will follow in the days ahead. NIA is currently researching every single graphite stock in existence. We are going to try our absolute hardest to discover a graphite stock with potential to make even larger short-term gains than NGC. We hope to announce our first ever graphite stock suggestion in the days ahead!
