Buy a Renault at cost plus £1


After last week’s news that Renault is offering a free electric Twizy with its Laguna and Espace models in Spain, now comes the revelation that some Renault dealers in the UK are offering cars at cost price, plus £1.

According to The Daily Telegraph, some of the French carmaker’s outlets in the south of England are letting cars go for the same prices as Renault paid for them in the first place. All the franchisees ask is that for every vehicle they sell at cost, the buyer hands them a £1 coin.

Fiat has low depreciation – shock news

Ok, it is only the Fiat 500, but any Fiat that is rated as one of the Top 10 slowest depreciating cars in the UK is still news.

The findings, from value experts Glass’s Guide and reported by industry magazine Auto Trader, show the trendy city car is seventh best among cars that lose their value the least.

Colourful upgrades for the Fiat 500


The Fiat 500 is undoubtedly the Italian brand’s most iconic car of modern times. And having just smashed the 100,000 sales mark in the UK, the city car has been updated with a range of new colours and upgraded interior trims that “better match the exterior” says Fiat.The colours are imaginatively named: we have Countrypolitan Yellow and New Age Cream solid paints, and Groove Metal Grey, Epic Blue, Chillout Purple and Idol Pink metallics.New chocolate brown/ivory fabric and grey/black fabric trim has also been introduced for the interior. New two-tone leather trims will be available at the end of the year, replacing the current leather finishes.

Audi brings back RS3 to UK


Audi is bringing another 250 examples of the RS3 to the UK, after the first allocation of 500 all sold out. These additional cars will be available at the same price of £39,930 as first batch which were sold last year.The RS3 features a turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder petrol engine with 335 bhp driving all four wheels through a standard seven-speed S-tronic twin-clutch transmission.
