This past weekend 964 Ferraris raced around the Silverstone Circuit beating a previous Guinness record of 490 Ferraris that went around a Japan’s Fuji Speedway Circuit in 2008.

Audi edges Toyota to win FIA World Endurance Championship at Silverstone
Audi clinched the 6 Hours of Silverstone after an intriguing and tight tactical battle with Toyota to take the manufacturers title in the inaugural FIA World Endurance Championship after just four rounds.
Andre Lotterer guided the #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro over the finish line, 55 seconds in front of the sole Toyota TS030-Hybrid entry with the #2 Audi R18 ultra completing the podium places. Lotterer now leads the WEC drivers championship with team-mates Marcel Fassler and Benoit Treluyer.
Maldonado and Perez: more F1 handbags
The argument between Pastor Maldonado and Sergio Perez ratcheted up another notch at Silverstone this weekend. After Maldonado hit Perez, the latter said of Maldonado “he has no respect for other drivers” and “he is dangerous.”
The race stewards were not impressed either. They hit Maldonado with a 10,000 Euro fine and a reprimand. A statement issued by the stewards said Maldonado was guilty of causing a collision, and because of the serious nature of the incident it was decided he would be given two penalties.
World record Ferrari parade at Silverstone
Ferrari is planning to break the world record for a parade of its models, which currently stands at 490.The plan is to get 1,000 Ferraris together at 18:00 on Saturday 15th September during Ferrari Racing Days at Silverstone Circuit. So far 600 owners have signed up, so the hunt is on for 400 more.
Ferrari Racing Days is the only motor racing event in the UK where Ferrari fans will see the ultra-exclusive FXX and 599XX development cars on track, plus a wide range of historic Ferrari F1 cars from the F1 Clienti department, together with a schedule of races from the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli and the Ferrari Club Challenge. There should also be a great turnout of Ferrari’s rarest models, such as the F40.
