Honda recalls 2006 Acura vehicles

Honda  is recalling certain model year 2006 Acura RSX vehicles manufactured Jan. 18, 2006, through Aug. 12, 2006; and model year 2006/2007 Honda S2000 vehicles manufactured Jan. 19, 2006, through Nov. 13, 2006.

The brake booster may be unable to maintain a vacuum when the brake pedal is depressed, decreasing brake assist.

Tesla recalls some Model S cars due to seat-mount defect

Electric car maker Tesla Motors Inc said it is recalling 1,228 of its 2013 Model S cars manufactured between May 10 and June 8 due to a defect in the mounting bracket of the rear seat.

“This reduces our confidence that the left hand seat back will be properly retained in the event of a crash,” Tesla founder and Chief Executive Elon Musk said in a statement on Wednesday posted on the company’s website.

GM expands SUV recall to 480,000 vehicles for fire risk

General Motors Co. is recalling about 231,000 additional SUVs that might be in danger of an electrical short that could cause a fire.

The move is an expansion of a recall from last August to check 249,000 SUVs for a short in a circuit board in the driver’s door that could lead to a fire.
