Lotus has hired Jean-Charles Lievens, Kia’s former European markets expert, to develop the automaker’s sales network in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.

Lotus has unveiled a limited edition Exige LF1, based on the Exige S, celebrating Formula 1 provenance.

Lotus has secured £10.44m of government funding, which it is to invest in creating new jobs in research and development. Lotus announced a host of new models in 2011 but none have entered production.
