The restructuring of the Fiat-Chrysler group by its CEO Sergio Marchionne should be seen as a success story rather than a case of offshoring operations, Italian Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan was quoted as saying by an Italian newspaper.

Fiat and Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said Monday that the automakers will have the capacity to produce 6 million cars a year once they combine their forces.
