ASA challenges State Farm’s parts procurement program
The Automotive Service Association has sent letters to state insurance regulators and state attorneys general regarding State Farm’s nationwide rollout of changes in its direct repair program, “Select Service.”
OSHA Continues on-site consultation program
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has withdrawn a proposed rule to amend its regulations for the federally funded on-site consultation program, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) announced.
OSHA withdrew this rule based on concerns that the proposed changes would discourage employers from participating in the program. ASA has a number of members who use this program.
Wisconsin bill stops insurers from steering auto repair work
Wisconsin Assemblyman Ed Brooks (R-50) recently introduced Assembly Bill 237 regarding automobile repair facility steering by insurance companies, the Automotive Service Association (ASA) reported.
