Sustainable MotoExpo cancelled

The Sustainable MotoExpo at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu has been cancelled.
The event was meant to take place on the 28 and 29 September, but has been axed following the withdrawal of a major exhibitor. Event organisers are hoping the exhibition can be rescheduled for 2014.
The news to cancel the event also means the launch of the Bluebird DC50 sports car will not take place. The 365PS electric coupe was unveiled in March to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Donald Campbell’s land and water speed records, but it’s believed this launch has been cancelled.
A spokesman for Eco Motorsport, the event organisers, said: ‘Whilst the decision to postpone the weekend has been a difficult one – it is the right one. During the final preparations for the Expo, we were notified of the postponement of one of its major attractions.
“We would rather move the event date, than disappoint visitors. It has always been our intention to deliver an Expo with innovative and exciting content that truly showcases the latest advances in green technologies, engineering and motor sport”
