Subaru Forester confirmed for UK launch in 2013
November 30, 2012
Ian

Subaru has confirmed the next generation Forester will go on sale in the UK in summer 2013. The flat-four powered Freelander rival comes with the promise of competitive pricing, and improved fuel economy.
The fourth-generation Forester retains the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system that marked out the three previous versions as such effective off-roaders. Performance will be as engaging as before, with a choice of two engines, both turbocharged. The 150PS (148bhp) 2.0-litre Boxer diesel is joined by a new 2.0-litre direct injection turbocharged petrol engine, producing 280PS (276bhp).Transmission options are six-speed manual transmission or Subaru’s Lineartronic (CVT) transmission is as an option. Full specification and pricing details are yet to be announced, but are expected to be comparable with the outgoing model, which marked itself as one of the best driver’s car in this highly competitive market sector.
