Mercedes AMG has released a time lapse video of how the SLS AMG Black Series was crafted into the final shape and wrapped in foil.

The SLS AMG Black Series comes with a naturally aspirated 622bhp 6.3-litre V8 engine with 468 lb-ft of torque. 0-62 mph comes in 3.6 seconds (0.2s quicker than the SLS AMG GT), while the top speed is 196 mph.

The SLS AMG Black Series features 20mm and 24mm wider front and rear tracks, new 20-inch lightweight forged alloys, carbon fibre front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and standard carbon ceramic brakes.

Overall weight has been cut by 70kg compared to the standard model.
