MINI has unveiled a very special concept: the MINI Superleggera Vision that was shown at at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 this past weekend.

This exclusive interpretation of an open-top two-seater was created by MINI and Touring Superleggera, combining the best of British and Italian.

The concept is unlike anything else from MINI with sot curves, minimalist interior and high-end materials.

The hand-crafted body is finished with a bespoke Como Blue paint job, revealing also carbon fibre front splitter, carbon fibre reinforced plastic side sills and a rear fin.

The interior reveals high-end materials such as leather, aluminium and black chrome in a minimalist approach.

This is not a typical MINI concept and the styling is quite far from production MINI models, with the only notable MINI feature being the two circular headlights and a hexagonal grille.

MINI did not go into details about the powertrain, only mentioning it uses a single electric motor.

It is unlikely MINI will ever take it into production, but there is a chance Touring Superleggera could do it in very limited numbers.
