Michelin has released a short film on Audi’s journey to winning this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours.

The evocative 15-minute documentary features never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews with the men who drove the diesel powered Audi R18 to victory.

Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen and Benoit Tréluyer all speak candidly about their experiences behind the wheel of the R18 and – as you might expect – stress the importance of having a good set of racing tyres at your disposal. There’s also exclusive insight from the team’s mechanics and engineers. 

As well as showing all the team’s preparation, the short film includes high octane race footage and the decisive moment when Audi clinched victory over the Toyota TS030 Hybrid.
