Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series laps the Nürburgring in 7:25.67
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series was introduced roughly a year ago. In UK the top of the range SLS AMG Black Series is priced from £229,985, while the standard car starts from £165,030.
Now that the SLS AMG Black Series has been on the market for some time, the company has released video footage of the model on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The gullwing supercar manages to lap the Green Hell in 7:25.67 which is faster than the Ferrari 458 Italia or McLaren MP4-12C, but a bit slower than the iconic Ferrari Enzo.
Powered by a modified 631bhp 6.3-litre V8 engine, the SLS AMG Black Series goes from 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds and to a top speed of 196mph.
Compared to the standard model it has 20mm and 24mm wider front and rear tracks, new 20-inch lightweight forged alloys, carbon fibre front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and standard carbon ceramic brakes. It is 70kg lighter, weighing 1,550kg.
Other updates include new quad tailpipes, titanium-made exhaust system, new electronic locking differential, a carbon fibre driveshaft, adaptive sports suspension and launch control.
