Infiniti Red Bull seeks new apprentices
Infiniti has opened applications for the Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy, which offers year-long work placement with the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team at its technology centre in Milton Keynes, as well as at the Infiniti Technical Centre in Cranfield.
Two candidates will be selected from applications, which are open to students from partner universities.
The opening for entries was announced by Infiniti EMEA Vice President Fintan Knight, Infiniti Head of Car Engineering Paul Monaghan and Infiniti Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber at the Infiniti showroom in Abu Dhabi, ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
“Helping new racing talent develop is not new to Formula One with the various young driver schemes in place, such as Red Bull’s, but there’s been less focus on nurturing engineers,” said Webber. “For any engineer aiming for Formula One, I’m sure Infiniti’s support is a big boost. It’s a good chance to be able to work with a four-time World Championship-winning team.”
