Icona, the Italian design house based in Shanghai has released a first teaser image of the Icona Vulcano supercar ahead of its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show next month.

The Icona Vulcano is a two-door two-seater supercar with a front engine V12 delivering up to 900 horsepower through a combination of combustion engine and electric motors. Top speed will be around 217mph and 0-124mph will take less than ten seconds.

The Vulcano owns its looks to young French designer Samuel Chuffart, who has previously worked at Nissan Design in Europe and the US, as well as Jaguar-Land Rover, before joining the Icona design house in 2008.

This car obviously will rival the recently introduced Ferrar LaFerrari and McLaren P1. Shame that just one car will be built
