Icona Vulcano hybrid supercar revealed

Icona Vulcano is a new hybrid supercar coachbuilt in Italy and designed by Icona, the Italian design house based in Shanghai.
The two-seater sports car is offered with two power outputs. The high spec model is called H-Turismo and combines a 6.0-litre V12 and an electric motor for a total output of 950 hp, enabling it to hit 0-60mph in 3.0 seconds.
The H-Competizione racing version combines a twin-turbo V6 at the rear with two electric motors turning the front wheels for a combined power output of 870 hp. The sophisticated hybrid drivetrain in the H-Competizione model was recently fitted to an old Lancia 037 rally car and is said to have delivered some strong results, including a 0-62 mph time of 2.9 seconds.
Top speed with both drivetrains is around 217mph.
The Vulcano been designed by a team led by ex-Nissan designer Samuel Chuffart and it looks to have some Lexus LFA, Ferrari 599 and F12Berlinetta inspiration, which is a good thing as it really does stand out and in a good way.
The one-off supercar rides on forged aluminum wheels measuring 20 inches up front and 21 inches in the rear, fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres.
