Hyundai Mistra Concept previews a new mid-size family saloon for China that will slot between Elantra and Sonata with the market launch later this year.

The Mistra concept has an overall length of 4,710 mm, overall width of 1,820 mm and overall height of 1,470 mm, while the wheelbase is 2,770 mm.

Riding on 19-inch alloy wheels, the concept has a wide radiator grille, unique fog lamps, wide intake hole, LED rear lamps and a sloping roof line giving it a sporty look.

The name Mistra comes from a beautiful city in the Laconia region of southern Greece where the ruins of the Byzantine Empire is located and signifies beauty, nobility and mystery. Its Chinese name, Mingtu, signifies integrity and quality.
