Porsche has released a new promo video showing how the all-new Macan is being built at the company’s Leipzig factory in Germany from the first components to the finished car.

Even though the production run is ready and first cars are rolling off the assembly line, the first cars are scheduled for delivery in April 2014.

From launch the Macan will be offered with three engines: two new twin-turbocharged petrol powertrains and one diesel with power ranging from 258bhp to 400bhp. Prices start from £43,300 for Macan S and Macan S Diesel, while the Macan Turbo starts from £59,300.

Two four cylinder engines will join the range in late 2014. The petrol unit is built in house by Porsche and the diesel engine is sourced from Volkswagen.
