Honda has released first pictures and details about the S660 concept ahead of its public debut at next month’s Tokyo Motor Show.

Honda describes the S660 as an “open-top sports-type mini-vehicle”, featuring a small 64bhp 660cc three-cylinder turbocharged engine linked to a seven-speed CVT.

This small compact roadster is expected to weigh around 900kg and the production model with a fully retractable roof will arrive in Japan sometimes in 2015.

It is not known yet will we see the S660 also outside of Japan, though some reports claim another version with a 100bhp 1.0-litre engine for export markets will follow soon after.
