BMW CS Vintage Concept combines retro with a modern touch
Talented designer David Obendorfer is not associated with BMW, but the German automaker should clearly take a look at his work.
David’s CS Vintage Concept is a beautiful idea, taking BMW’s classic design and giving it a more modern look. His inspiration comes from two models:
the 2000 CS (E120) and the E9 Michelotti, taking us all the way to 1968.
The CS Vintage Concept features the familiar four round headlights with LEDs and even the Hofmeister Kink at the rear pillar.
The interior follows a similar classic minimalistic theme with plenty of wood, as well as an infotainment system with all the modern day goodies.
Wouldn’t it be awesome to see something similar in production?
As the concept is visualised on the 6 Series Coupe platform, it means a good coach builder could take this into a limited series production if there is enough demand.
David has designed also boats/yachts and his web site has other cool projects from Fiat 500 Spider to Renault 4 Concept.
