BMW 1 Series GT is a production version of the Active Tourer concept, which debuted at the Paris Motor Show in September.

Spied testing in Munich, the prototype version looks very similar to the concept, though it still wears plenty of disguise and temporary lights.

Engine range is likely to include 3 and 4-cylinder options. The eDrive system from the Active Tourer concept is very likely also part of the engine range, featuring a 3-cylinder 1.5-litre petrol turbo mated with an electric motor for a combined power output of 187bhp and 200Nm of torque. The front wheels were powered by a petrol unit, while the electric motor was at the rear axle. Very likely the production version will also get the same system.

This new compact Minivan is expected to arrive in Summer 2013.
