Audi celebrates 500,000 TT model with TTS competition special edition
Since its debut back in 1998, Audi has produced half a million TT cars. Now in its second generation, the half a million milestone model is a special edition TTS competition that will be offered in coupe and roadster versions.
Production will be limited globally to 500 units and the first ones will roll off the assembly line in October.
The special edition TTS competition is available exclusively in Imola yellow or Nimbus gray, featuring a fixed rear wing with bars in a matte aluminum-look finish.
The Roadster’s top is available in either Black or Gray.
The 19-inch alloy wheels feature a five-arm “Rotor” design and are fitted with 225/35 tyres.
Interior comes with Impulse leather package in steel gray and aluminium badges on the door trims embossed with “1 of 500”.
Power comes from a 272bhp 2.0 TFSI engine linked to a six-speed S tronic, enabling the Coupé to hit 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds (5.5 seconds with manual transmission). The Roadster does it in 5.5 seconds (5.7 seconds with the manual).
It is not know yet will the TTS Competition also be offered in left-hand drive.
