Aston Martin reveals DBS Ultimate Edition

The ultimate version, literally, of the Aston Martin DBS has been unveiled by the company. Highly unusually, the company hasn’t put a press release out nor noffink, but has instead slapped an image of the car on its website. Surprise! Its starting price will nudge £187,000 before options, and we know that production at Gaydon will begin in June.

There are no mechanical changes, so it keeps the 510bhp 6.0-litre V12 of the DBS, which gets the car to 62mph in 4.3 seconds and on to 190mph.

Only 100 will be made, though buyers can choose between a coupé and a Volante (convertible), and have a choice of three colours: two silvers and a black. Every car gets the same set of 20-inch diamond turned black and silver alloys. Yellow brake calipers are optional.

The lights are smoked and, most strikingly, have carbon fibre inserts, matching the carbon of the rear diffuser.

Inside, the seats are quilted leather and finished with red stitching, as is the dashboard, and there’s yet more carbon fibre trim.
