Aston Martin GTE to appear at Goodwood

Fresh from its podium finish at the Le Mans 24 Hour, the Aston Martin Vantage GTE will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend to tackle the hillclimb course. It will be piloted by works driver Stefan Mücke who said: “I’m really looking forward to going to Goodwood for the first time. It’s an iconic event and it will be an honour to follow in the tyre tracks of so many famous and respected drivers.
“I’m also really proud to be doing it in the Le Mans podium-placed Vantage GTE. It’s a fantastic racing car and I’m sure it will provide a great show for the fans! I’ve heard a lot about Goodwood, so I’m really happy and excited to be there this year.”Aston Martin Racing is contesting the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with its purpose-built Vantage GTE. This year marks a return to GT racing for the marque with the team having secured a podium on the car’s debut at the 12 Hours of Sebring, Florida, before claiming a third in class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans two weeks ago.
As part of Aston Martin’s Goodwood Festival of Speed activities, the Vantage GTE will run at 10:10 hrs and 16:25 hrs on Friday 29 June, at 10:10 hrs and 16:05 hrs on Saturday 30 June and 10:10 hrs and 14:25 hrs on Sunday 1 July.
