Afzal Kahn selling ‘F1′ number plate for £10 million

What’s in a number plate? Is it just a random combination of numbers and letters or something much more?
For some people it is a way to stand out and there is a huge market for personalised number plates.
UK’s most expensive number plate is “F1′, owned by Afzal Kahn, who bought it back in 2008 for £440,625 and has it on his Bugatti Veyron or SLS McLaren.
Last year someone offered £6 million for it and Afzal turned it down. Yes he turned down a £6 million offer for a number plate.
Now the owner of Bradford based A. Kahn Design has decided to sell the plate for £10,009,995.
This sounds insane, but we wouldn’t be surprised to hear some wealthy sheik will soon buy it for their hypercar. Yes the number plate costs more than any car currently in production and to a common man this does not make any sense. £10 million for a number plate! Insane, very insane!
