Bentley builds some amazing high-performance luxury cars, but what the company lacks is a special division to build bespoke cars to wealthy customers who want to stand out from the crowd, like the 2010 Bentley Continental Flying Star by Touring Superleggera pictured above .

All that is likely to change soon as Bentley sales chief Kevin Rose has revealed that the company is looking into setting up a special division within itself to build one-off custom creations for wealthy clients.

This move would be very similar to what Ferrari and McLaren have been doing with their one-off models, like the recently unveiled F12 TRS by Ferrari Special Projects and X-1 by McLaren Special Operations.

With a coachbuilding division and wealthy clients there really are no limits. If you can dream it(staying realistic with no flying cars and meeting different legislations) then it can be built, from Mulsanne convertible to an upcoming SUV with bespoke body.

Until Bentley makes the final decision, there are thankfully plenty of small coachbuilders who are glad to take your money and turn the standard Bentley into a one-off model.
