Lotus unveils limited edition Exige LF1, celebrates company’s F1 heritage

Lotus has unveiled a limited edition Exige LF1, based on the Exige S, celebrating Formula 1 provenance.
In total 81 Lotus Exige S cars will receive a Lotus F1 Team inspired livery and interior trim to commemorate the number of grand prix victories held by the Lotus marque from the first GP victory at Monaco in 1960 to car #81 marking Kimi Raikkonen’s win at Australia in 2013.
The black and gold exterior comes with red accents and special badging, riding on golden wheels fitted with P-Zero Trofeo tyres.
Lotus did not reveal any interior images, but does mention the same colour theme continues inside, featuring two-tone seats with embroidered headrests, embroidered seat backs and an individually numbered carbon fibre plaque.
Power comes from a supercharged 345bhp 3.5-litre V6 engine with 295 lb-ft of torque, taking the LF1 from 0-62mph in 4.0 seconds on its way to a top speed of 274mph.
The Lotus Exige LF1 is available to customers in all global markets, except the USA.
