One-off Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato debuts at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este
Lamborghini and Italian coachbuilder Zagato have teamed up to create a one-off Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato, celebrating Zagato’s 95th anniversary.
The special one-off project was created for collector Albert Spiess and is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4.
Yes you read it right. The one-off 5-95 is based on the Gallardo, though it is very hard to see the similarities.
This unique collector item features typical Zagato styling cues like double bubble roof, a wraparound windscreen with wind deflector and side intakes derived from the 1996 Lamborghini Diablo-based Raptor concept by Zagato. There is also a centre intake above the roof.
This is not the first time Lamborghini and Zagato do something together. In addition to the Raptor concept in 1996, the two collaborated for the first time in 1965 for the 3500 GTZ.
No engine details were released, but as it is based on the Gallardo LP570-4 it is probably safe to say the stock 562bhp 5.2-litre V10 carries over with no changes.
