Johammer J1 electric motorcycle is a retro-futuristic cruiser from Austria
Johammer J1 electric motorcycle is a very unique and odd looking motorcycle from Austria with an open front tyre and fluted aluminium body covering also the rear tyre.
The J1 will be available in two versions: J1.150 and J1.200.
The J1.150 comes with a 8.3kW/h battery and a 90-mile (150km) range, while as the name suggests the second model has a range of 120 miles ((200km), featuring a 12.7kW/h battery. That’s pretty impressive!
Power comes from a 11kw (14.75bhp) hub-mounted electric motor, that has electronically limited top speed of 74.5mph. No 0-60mph time is given or the weight of the vehicle, but we are sure it is sharp enough for some city driving and even open road cruising as the range of up to 120 miles, really screams for longer trips.
What’s very impressive is that the batteries and hub-mounted motor are maintenance free for the 124,000-mile life of the vehicle, while loosing not more than 15 percent of their capacity in four years.
Essentially the J1 is like a scooter as there are no foot controls and you brake and accelerate with handlebars. The displays are integrated into the mirrors an pricing starts from €23,000 for the J1.150 and €25,000 for the J1.200.
