2015 Ford Focus saloon revealed ahead of New York debut

Ford has unveiled the updated Focus saloon, ahead its debut at next week’s New York Auto Show, following the debut of the updated hatch and estate at the Geneva Motor Show last month.
The Focus is the best-selling vehicle nameplate in the world, with 1,097,618 cars sold worldwide last year, with China as one of the key markets, where more than 1/3 of the Focus vehicles were sold last year.
At the front, the new Focus saloon is identical to the updated Focus hatch and estate we saw last month in Geneva. The rear gets restyled taillights, a modified trunk lid and bumper, compared to the outgoing model.
The interior is also updated with new trim, modified seats, updated centre console and cup holders. The rearview camera comes standard with MyFord Touch, working together with either a 4.2- or 8-inch touchscreen display. There is also a new driver assistance systems, MyKey on all trim levels, and an updated Sync system.
The Focus saloon will be available from launch with a three-cylinder 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine linked exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission.
The new Focus saloon will debut in New York alongside the updated Focus Electric, while the hot ST model will be revealed later this year.
