Simon Cowell recently sold his Bugatti Veyron and has now bought the lightweight Eagle Speedster which will be sent out to the USA for him.

The Eagle Speedster is not much cheaper than the Veyron, as Cowell reputedly spent £650,000 on the Jaguar E-type recreation, which is hand built by the Sussex-based Jaguar specialist Eagle.

Based on the original Jaguar E-Type chassis with power coming from a 306bhp 4.7-litre six-cylinder petrol unit with 460Nm of torque, it is basically a better version of the classic E-Type with modern tech.

Simon Cowell saw it tested first on BBC’s Top Gear and obviously he liked it as he soon after placed his order, thanking the Eagle team also on twitter and praising its looks.
