Land Rover Discovery facelift was unveiled last September and it will be a while before the all-new model comes out.

The iconic Discovery was launched in 1989 and since then over 1 million models have been sold worldwide.

Land Rover has now unveiled a new Discovery XXV Special Edition to celebrate the 25th anniversary year of the original launch of its versatile family SUV.

The XXV Special Edition vehicle comes in a choice of four exterior colours Causeway Grey, Santorini Black, Fuji White and Indus Silver, as well as distinctive XXV badging and a sophisticated and premium interior lined with Windsor leather.

Other updates include Narvik Black grille surrounds and mirror caps, and Dark Atlas features on the grille and fender vents, silver full-length roof rails, body-coloured handles and a stainless steel bumper accessory tread.

The special edition rides newly designed 20-inch five-split-spoke forged alloy wheels in a light polished-silver finish.

The special edition is based on the HSE specification and the cockpit comes with a choice of three interior leather colourway options: ebony, cirrus or dual-tone ebony/cirrus. Additional luxurious highlights include twist pile carpet mats and a leather-wrapped wooden steering wheel.

Power comes from a 256bhp 3.0-litre SDV6 with 600Nm of torque linked to an eight speed ZF automatic transmission.
