McLaren 650S

McLaren will reveal a new supercar called “650S” next month at the 84th International Geneva Motor Show and here is the first teaser image and details.

According to McLaren the new model is “designed and developed to offer the enthusiast driver the ultimate in luxury, engagement and excitement, as well as dramatic yet beautiful styling…”

It has something from both the 12C as well as the P1 supercar and will be positioned between the two on McLaren Automotive’s supercar grid.

The new model continues to use a mid-mounted turbocharged engine, most likely a revised twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 and the
familiar carbon fibre tub chassis. As the name suggests it is expected to pack 650 horsepower.

The styling will follow a similar theme as the 12C and P1 so there shouldn’t be any big surprises.

McLaren reportedly has another model, entry level P13 in development that will be positioned below the 12C, going against the Porsche 911.
