Supercars on the track: Pagani Huayra vs Pagani Zonda
Pagani Huayra made its debut in early 2011 as a successor to the Zonda, which debuted in 1999 with the last special edition model rolling off the assembly line last year.
The Huayra costs £849,000 and is an impressive piece of engineering. Powered by an AMG sourced 6.0-litre V12 twin-turbo engine producing 730bhp it goes from 0-62mph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 230 mph. The Huayra is currently the fastest road-legal car ever to go round the Top Gear Test Track, with a time of 1 minute 13.8 seconds.
During its lifetime the Zonda used three engines: 6.0 L AMG V12, 7.0 L AMG V12 and 7.3 L AMG V12.
Goodwood Road and Racing Club member Peter Read owns a new Pagani Huayra and also a 2005 Pagani Zonda with a 7.3-litre AMG V12.
In the video you get to see these two exotic supercars next to each other with their amazing engine sound and exhaust noise.
It is not a real comparison as we don’t get to see them race head to head, but still a nice video and also the first time these two cars have been filmed together.
