Audi has released a new promo video where a 67 year old retired rally driver Stig Blomqvist in a 1983 Audi Sport quattro goes against the new Audi S3 hatchback driven by Hermann Müller.

That’s exactly 30 years of engineering that separates these two cars.

The new S3 is powered by a 296bhp 2.0-litre TFSI four cylinder petrol engine linked to six-speed S tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system, good for a 0-62mph sprint in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.

The Sport quattro in road trim packs 320bhp from a 2.1-litre turbocharged, five cylinder engine linked to a five-speed manual. Official 0-60mph time was 4.8 seconds and the top speed 155 mph.
