Front-wheel drive with winter tyres vs. all-wheel drive with summer tyres
The winter is showing its first signs and if you leave in an area that gets some snow and ice it is wise to change your tyres.
There are many drivers who own an all-wheel drive vehicle and believe this is it to keep them on the road during the winter driving season. Not true! Of course with all four tyres spinning you do have some more traction, but not enough if you compare a car with just front-wheel drive and the right winter tyres.
Safety first always! So we highly recommend you use the best tyres for summer driving and the best tyres for winter driving.
The video by AutoExpress is a good example, showing how the front-wheel drive Ford Kuga with winter tyres is better than all-wheel drive model with summer tyres. And to top it all the all-wheel drive Kuga with winter tyres is the best solution for driving on snow.
Of course there are people who think all season tyres is the answer, buy please folks do some research. Surely if you get very little snow/ice they are the easy answer, but in a colder climate the right winter tyres is the way to go.
