The fastest production Bentley ever will debut at London’s Salon Privé luxury car show in September. The new Continental GT Speed will be shown for the first time at the event held at West London’s prestigious Syon House on 5-7 September, with tickets costing between £200 and £800 per person.

Powered by Bentley’s 6.0-litre, 48-valve, four-cam, twin turbocharged W12 engine, the coupe will reach 60mph in just four seconds. Orders for the new Continental GT Speed can be taken at Salon Privé, with first UK deliveries expected later this year.

Bentley Motors will display the car in partnership with its London dealership Jack Barclay. Tom King of Jack Barclay said: “Salon Privé is a key venue to debut an important new Bentley like the Continental GT Speed Coupé. We have been supporting Salon Privé since the event’s beginning seven years ago, and know it is the place to introduce products of this status.”

The show’s organisers have also announced that this year’s focal points will be a massive display of Gulf-sponsored racing cars and a celebration of 25 years of the iconic Ferrari F40.

The 2012 show will see more manufacturers displaying their stuff than ever, including AMG, Aston, Bentley, BMW, Eterniti, Ferrari, Jaguar and Mercedes.
