BMW presents their X6 M Design Edition

BMW presents their  X6 M Design Edition

A special kind of E71 BMW X6 M has been revealed, and it seems to be a suiting crowning jewel for any M Division fans.

So what does the limited edition E71 BMW X6 M have to offer for takers? For starters, BMW fitted the vehicle with carbon fiber front spoiler lip while the rear has seen upgrades in the form of a new carbon fiber spoiler and diffuser. Also for the exterior, you get the optional M Performance stripe. Oh, and let’s not forget the custom alloy wheels measuring 21 inches.

Moving on to the interior, we get more exclusive features, like a dashboard wrapped in leather, displaying a very nice black and red contrasting theme. The seats sport similar materials and the same theme, with red stitching adding to the effect.

So far, we have no real number concerning performance tweaks (if any) or even a price tag, but we do know only 100 units will be built and each will come with a unique numbered plaque.

BMW X5 eDrive concept will get the green light

BMW X5 eDrive concept will get the green light

There is some great news from the Bavarians at BMW as they officially confirmed that the X5 eDrive concept will enter the series production.

The BMW X5 eDrive concept was seen for the first time earlier this month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The plug-in hybrid version of the BMW X5 comes with a TwinPower Turbo unit alongside an electric motor making the 0-100 km/h sprint possible in less than 7 seconds. Fuel economy figures are rated at 61,8mpg or 3,8 liters/100km with CO2 emissions of 90 g/km.

In terms of styling, the BMW X5 eDrive Concept is pretty production-ready with just few elements telling you that you are facing an eco-friendly model.

According to Peter Wolf from BMW, the concept will surely enter production but there is no official release date. In this situation, we expect to see the model on the streets later next year or in 2015.
