Lexus has released a video highlighting the development of the LS based TMG 650 Sports concept.

Created by Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG), the TMG Sports 650 concept shows how TMG’s Formula One knowledge and experience can benefit road-going models.

Power comes from a twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 producing an impressive 641bhp and 710 Nm of torque, good for a 0-60 mph sprint in just 3.9 seconds all the way to a top speed of 200 mph.

Impressive numbers and if built would make the TMG Sports 650 a good alternative to the S 63 AMG.

Unfortunately for those who would love to see it in production, the TMG Sports 650 is not destined for production, but according to TMG’s Alastair Moffitt, the company is hopeful that future prototypes will eventually be green-lighted.
