Audi designs science fiction car for “Ender’s Game” movie
Product placements in movies is a huge business and Audi is no stranger to it. We all remember the 2004 year movie movie I Robot, where Will Smith drove a futuristic RSQ, which did use cues from the Audi R8.
Now close to 10 years later Audi Design Team has created a new movie car called “Audi fleet shuttle quattro”, which will be part of the upcoming Summit Entertainment’s “Ender’s Game” featuring Asa Butterfield and Harrison Ford.
The film is based on the best-selling novel “Ender’s Game” and the entirely virtual car combines futuristic design with groundbreaking technology.
The film is about a near future, where a hostile alien race has attacked Earth. In preparation for the next attack, humans begin training the best students to find their future leader… There is of course an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.
The concept was thought up with the help of the movie’s director, Gavin Hood, as well as its production team, and “use the latest technology to digitally and seamlessly integrate the Audi fleet shuttle quattro into the futuristic environment of the film.” Still, so far, we have no actual models (3D or real) to look at and cast our opinion on, so until Ender’s Game premieres in cinemas on October 24, it’s all we have to go on.
The film will premiere in German cinemas on October 24 and soon after in other countries.
