Following its debut in April at the Shanghai Auto Sgow, MG has announced that the MG3 supermini starts at £8,399 for the entry level 3TIME version and will not go over £9,999 for the top of the range MG3 3STYLE.

All models are powered by a 105bhp four-cylinder VTi-TECH petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual. The predicted insurance group rating will be just 4E.

Signature front LED lights and electronic hill hold are standard. High quality DAB audio system is standard on all models except the entry level 3STYLE. Other standard features include six airbags, electronic stability control, corner brake control and traction control.

In total there are four models with top of the range MG3 3STYLE featuring 16-inch “Diamond” alloy wheels and a sports body styling pack that includes the rear boot spoiler and side sill extensions.

The mid-range MG3 3FORM is available for £9,299 and includes air conditioning, DAB radio, Bluetooth and audio streaming, leather steering wheel with red stitching and steering wheel audio controls.

The MG3 3FORM SPORT includes all the features of the mid-range 3FORM with the sports body styling pack and 16” “Carousel” alloy wheels at £9,549.

The MG3 will be available in dealerships from September 2013.
