The new seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette for 2014 has landed in Europe for final testing, before the model goes on sale later this year with prices starting from £61,495.

The EU spec Corvette Stingray will be equipped in standard with the Z51 performance pack and is powered by an all-new 460 horsepower 6.2L LT1 V8 engine with 630Nm of torque linked to a 7-speed manual transmission with active rev matching. 0-60mph comes in 3.8 seconds.Patrick Herrmann, technical manager at Chevrolet Europe is the first to thoroughly test the new Stingray in Europe.

The testing procedures are part of the GM standard quality control program which is conducted for each new Chevrolet model before it goes on sale in Europe.
