VuHL 05 supercar unveiled at the Royal Automobile Club in London

The VUHL 05 lightweight open top supercar was revealed to an exclusive audience in London for the first time.
VUHL ( pronounced ‘vool’) is the brainchild of brothers Iker and Guillermo Echeverria, whose Mexican/American design company penned the 05.
According to VUHL, the 05 is engineered for the track and endowed with exhilarating performance for both the road and the circuit.
Company also mentions the project is backed by a number of blue-chip companies and the Mexican Government, and has an inventory of renowned suppliers and development partners that includes Ford, Multimatic and Michelin.
The 05 features an aluminum monocoque chassis and has reinforced plastic body panels.
Power comes from a 285bhp 2.0-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine linked to a six-speed manual transmission. 0-62 mph is expected to come in 3.7 seconds while the top speed is around 150 mph.
The 05 will make its public debut next week at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will run in the ‘First Glance’ class at Goodwood as part of the Michelin Supercar Run.
The 05 is priced from £55,000 plus tax and shipping, with first deliveries scheduled for spring 2014.
