BMW X4 Coupe rendered

BMW X4 Concept made its debut last month at the Shanghai Auto Show, previewing a production model that is expected to debut at the Frankfurt show in September.
The X4 Concept is another coupe like crossover that BMW calls Sports Activity Coupe, following already proven formula of the bigger X6.The concept is 4,648mm in length, a width of 1,915mm in width and has a height of 1,622mm. The wheelbase mesures 2,810mm and it rides on 21-inch alloys. As with previous BMW concept’s, the production model is expected to be almost identical.
What about a three-door one? Range Rover Evoque clearly has shown that there is a market for a sporty three-door crossover and so far no one has come up with a competing model, though there are rumours that Porsche Macan will be offered as a three-door variant as well.
Talented artist Theophilius Chin has created two renderings showing a possible BMW X4 Coupe with the following short comment: “BMW should really consider building this. The 5-door is too similar in design and size with the X6.”
