2015 Jaguar F-Type Project 7 unveiled, production limited to 250 units
Remember the single-seater Jaguar Project 7 design study based on F-Type from last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed?
Jaguar has now unveiled the production F-Type Project 7 ahead of this week’s Goodwood debut with very similar styling as last year’s design study, but with seating for two and also extra horsepower.
The F-Type Project 7 celebrates the 60th anniversary of the D-Type roadster, featuring some of the iconic design cues like the rear fin and British Racing Green livery with white racing stripes.
Power comes from a 567bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, taking the Project 7 from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited t 186 miles per hour. Packing 567bhp it is the most powerful production Jaguar ever.
To handle all that power, the Project 7 is equipped with unique suspension tune, Carbon Ceramic brakes, and Torque Vectoring by Braking.
The car is basically a highly modified F-Type roadster with more power, unique exterior and suspension. Thanks to lightweight seats and other lightweight materials it weighs 80kg less than the standard F-Type roadster, tipping the scale at 1585kg.
UK prices start at £135,000 and just 250 cars will be produced globally with deliveries to begin from mid-2015.
