2015 Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition unveiled

Fifty years ago this week, Ford unveiled the Mustang at New York World’s Fair. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the world’s most popular cars, Ford is marking the milestone by revealing a Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition. The special edition will go on sale this autumn and just 1,964 examples will be built.
The 50 Year Limited Edition model is based on the all-new 2015 Mustang GT fastback with performance pack, finished either in Wimbledon White, like the Mustang serial No. 0001 that was first sold to Capt. Stanley Tucker in April 1964, or Kona Blue.
There are also more chrome on this special edition model, similar to the cars in the 1960s.
?
Another unique visual element is the louvered rear quarter- windows.
Interior is distinguished with a new aluminium trim panel that spans the double-brow instrument panel, a special serialized 50 Year Limited Edition badge on the passenger side and a cashmere-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel, that is also on the instrument panel, shift boot, door inserts, seats, and centre armrest.
Power comes from an upgraded 5.0-litre V8 engine delivering more than 420bhp and 390 lb-ft of torque linked to either six-speed automatic or six-speed manual. It is the only 2015 model year Mustang that combines an automatic transmission and the performance pack.
All this rides on unique 19-inch alloy wheels with Y-spoke design wrapped with high-performance Y-speed-rated Pirelli P-Zero summer tyres.
